1 Determine your eligibility

2 Have documentation proving your military or civilian experience

3 Obtain FAA approval

4 Take three (3) written tests consisting of General, Airframe, and Powerplant, obtaining a minimum score of 70%

5 Take oral and practical examinations

6 Upon successful completion of oral and practical examinations, you will be issued a temporary license by the examiner and a permanent license will be mailed to you within 120 days from the FAA
